Why Success Rate Matters
Success rate is determined by acclimatisation time and daily elevation gain. Routes with slower daily gains and built-in rest days see higher success rates.
Lemosho (97%): 8–9 days, 400m daily gain, 2 rest days. Your body has time to adapt.
Marangu (65%): 5 days, 1,000m+ daily gain, no rest days. Your body never catches up — altitude sickness dominates. See all 6 routes compared side by side →
