What to Expect in October
The dry season technically runs through October, but the short rains can arrive anytime from mid-October onward. In good years, October is dry and clear throughout. In transitional years, clouds build on the mountain from mid-afternoon by late October. Overall, it remains a solid month — trails are good, crowds are manageable, and temperatures are moderate. The uncertainty increases as October progresses.
