After your summit push, a private 4x4 Land Cruiser waits in Arusha. No shared buses, no budget camps — just you, a professional guide, and East Africa's most spectacular wildlife.
All safari sections use a private 4x4 Land Cruiser with pop-up roof — not a minibus.
Day 8 — The Descent
Hot shower. Real bed. The contrast is real.
Summit day starts at midnight. By 10am you are back at base camp. By 3pm you are in an Arusha lodge — hot water, a proper mattress, and your body already recovering in oxygen-rich air at 1,400m.
No camping. No sleeping bags. No mess tins. Just you, a rested guide team, and the best shower of your life before a 4x4 picks you up for the next chapter.

Tanzania's wildlife moves with the rains. Here is what to expect in each park across the year.

All three parks are accessible year-round. Best time for Kilimanjaro + safari is June to October — most stable summit weather and active Great Migration river crossings.

Day 9
Arusha → Tarangire
Leave Arusha after breakfast in a private Land Cruiser. Game drive through Tarangire — elephant herds of 200+, ancient baobab groves. Afternoon transfer to Karatu. Overnight at a farm lodge outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 10
Ngorongoro Crater
Descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater at sunrise. Black rhino sightings are common here — the only place in Tanzania where they are reliably seen. Lion prides, flamingos on Lake Magadi, and hyenas. Late afternoon return to Karatu lodge.

Days 11-12
Serengeti (Central)
Full days in the Serengeti's central plains. Resident big cats year-round — lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Ndutu area during calving season (Jan-Feb).

Serengeti → Arusha
Morning game drive, then transfer back to Arusha. Optional Maasai cultural experience en route. Arrive late afternoon. You can fly out this evening or overnight in Arusha.
