BOOKING QUESTIONS

How far in advance should I book my Kilimanjaro climb?
We recommend booking 2–4 months in advance, especially for peak season (June–October). For the Northern Circuit or Lemosho routes during high season, 4–6 months is safer. Last-minute bookings can sometimes be accommodated depending on permit availability.
What is the booking process?
Step 1: WhatsApp or email us with your preferred dates and route. Step 2: We check permit availability and send a detailed quote. Step 3: Secure your spot with just $100 — no large upfront payment required. Step 4: We handle all logistics — park permits, guides, porters, accommodation. Step 5: Final balance due 30 days before departure.
Is there a booking fee or agent markup?
No. We are a direct operator. What you pay goes directly to the people who run your climb — our guides, porters, and logistics team. You will never pay more than if you walked into our Arusha office and booked in person.
What deposit is required to secure my booking?
Secure your climb with just $100 — no large upfront payment needed. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your departure date. We accept bank transfer, Wise, and major credit cards. Unlike operators who require 20–30% deposits, we keep booking friction low so you can confirm your spot without a big initial outlay.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Deposits are refundable minus a 5% administrative fee if cancelled 60+ days before departure. 30–60 days: 50% refund. Less than 30 days: no refund, but we will move your booking to a new date at no charge.
What is included in the climb price?
All prices include: professional guides (ethically employed), porters and all their fees, park permits and camping fees, all meals on the mountain, drinking water, tents and sleeping mats, airport transfers, and 1 night hotel in Arusha before and after the climb. Use our instant price calculator to see your exact cost before booking.
Can I climb Kilimanjaro solo or do I need a group?
You cannot climb Kilimanjaro solo — Tanzania law requires all climbers to be accompanied by a registered guide. However, you do not need to join a large group. We can arrange private climbs for 1–2 people, or you can join one of our scheduled small-group departures.
What is your summit success rate?
Our overall summit success rate is 95%. For the Northern Circuit (9 days), it is 98%+. Individual success depends on route choice, fitness level, and acclimatisation. Our guides are trained in pacing strategies that maximise your chances.
Do you offer early-bird or wet-season discounts?
Yes — book 60+ days in advance for any March or April 2026 departure and receive 5% off. This early-bird offer is our lowest rate of the year. Example: Machame 7-day at $1,520 per person instead of $1,600. The 5% discount applies automatically when you confirm with your deposit within the advance booking window.
